Summer School CIRM

Sub-Riemannian manifolds:
from geodesics to hypoelliptic diffusion

September 1 - 5, 2014

Presentation

This is the CIRM Summer School related to the IHP Trimester "Geometry, Analysis and Dynamics on Sub-Riemannian manifolds" which takes place at the Insitut Henri Poincaré in Paris during all the period September 1 - December 14, 2014.

The CIRM Summer School, which takes place at the Centre International de Rencontres Mathématiques in Marseille, will be financed by the ERC Project GeCoMethods and by INRIA Project GECO.

The aim of this school is to create an interaction opportunity for different communities working on sub-Riemannian geometry from different points of view. The lecture topics reflect the diversity of views, they will allow everyone to learn the basics of other areas. The program of the school would consist of 4 mini-courses (6 hours each) and will focus on the sub-Riemannian geometry under different perspectives: control theory, analysis (hypoelliptic operators), geometry and probability. These courses are especially intended for students and young researchers, as introductory courses for the related IHP Trimester.

Financial support is no more avialable.
