Mathematical and computational modelling of bulk ferromagnets

A general exposition of models of ferromagnets based on Landau-Lifshitz' theory merged with a relaxation and with a phenomenological rate-independent dissipation possibly with some sort of "hardening" of the coercive force will be presented. Existence of solutions will be outlined, and numerical-implementation issues will be mentioned together with computational simulations of uniaxial ferromagnets, as well as some special aspect about uniqueness, periodic solutions, or optimization.
