Helfrich
$$
\ElastNRJ(\psi)=\int_{\Smidd} \kappa |H-H_0|^2 \dS,
$$
où
- $H$ est la courbure moyenne
- $H_0$ est la courbure spontanée
sous les contraintes
- Aire de la surface constante (incompressibilité)
- Volume fixe (imperméabilité).
Globules rouges
Helfrich + membranaire
A l'équilibre, la déformation minimise
$$
\ElastNRJ(\psi)=\int_{\Smidd} \kappa |H-H_0|^2 + W(\Dt \psi) \dS,
$$
$\S\h$
= configuration de référence de la vésicule
=$\Smidd\times (-\h,\h)$
Énergie élastique associée à une déformation $\psih:\S\h\rightarrow \R^d$
$$
\J(\psih)=\int_{\S\h} \Wh(D\psih)\,dx,
$$
où $\Wh$ est une densité d'énergie.
Analyse asymptotique
Question
Soit $\W{0}(F)=0$ si et seulement si $F\in \SO{3}$
- $\Wh(F)=\h^{-1}\W{0}(F)$ $\Rightarrow$ Membranaire.
- $\Wh(F)=\h^{-3}\W{0}(F)$ $\Rightarrow$ Isométrique en flexion.
- $\Wh(F)=\h^{-5}\W{0}(F)$ $\Rightarrow$ Von Kármán.
Vésicules
$$\W\h(F)=\h^{-3}\W{2}(F)$$
et
$$\W{2}(F)=0$$
ssi
Pas de changement d'aire
$\forall a,b \in \Tx{\Smidd}, |Fa \wedge Fb|=|a\wedge b|;$
Pas de tilde
$F_3$ normal à $F(\Tx{\Smidd} x)$;
Molécules lipidiques inextensibles
$|F_3|=1.$
$$
\varphih(x',\h x_3)=\sum_k \h^k \Varphik{k}(x',x_3).
$$
Résultat
Ils convergent alors vers les minimiseurs de
$$
\Iflex(\psi):=\frac 1 3 \int_{\Smidd} P_{\xmidd}(H)\, \dS,
$$
$$
\forall a, b \in \Tx \Smidd x,\qquad |D'\psi a \wedge D'\psi b| = |a \wedge b|.
$$
$$
\Iflex(\psi):=\frac 1 3 \int_{\Smidd} \kappa_{\xmidd} |H|^2 \, \dS.
$$
Exemple
Soit
$$ \W{2}(F)=\alpha(\det(F^TF)-1)^2+\beta |F^TFe_3-e_3|^2, $$
on obtient
$$ \Iflex(\psi)=\frac 2 3 \int_{\Smidd} (\alpha^{-1}+\beta^{-1})^{-1} |H|^2\,\dS.$$
Globules rouges
$$
J(\psi)=\int_\Smidd \kappa_{\xmidd} |H|^2 + W(D'\psi)\dS,
$$
sur l'ensemble des déformations telles que
$$
\forall a, b \in \Tx \Smidd x,\qquad |D'\psi a \wedge D'\psi b| = |a \wedge b|.
$$
Justification 2
du 3D au 2D
Une approche Eulérienne
Formulation Eulérienne
$$
\min I_\varepsilon(\Omega_\h,u_\h,\sigma_\h)
:=\h^{-3} \int_{\Omega_\h} V(\tau_\h,\sigma_\h) \,dx,
$$
sous les contraintes
- $\nabla \cdot\sigma_\h=0$
- $\tau_\h=\nabla u_\h$
- $u_\h=\pm \h$ sur $\partial^\pm \Omega_\h$
- $\int_{\Omega_\h} \sigma_\h\cdot\tau_\h dx=2\h A.$
Avec $V(\tau,\sigma)=0$ ssi
- Incompressibilité, $|\sigma_\h|=1$
- Absence de tilde, $\sigma_\h\wedge\tau_\h=0$
- Inextensibilité, $|\tau_\h|=1.$
$\Gamma$-Convergence
Théorème de Benoît Merlet
Soit $V$ tel que $V(\tau,\sigma)=0$ ssi
$\tau=\sigma\text{ et }\sigma\cdot\tau=1,$
alors
l'énergie
$$
I_\varepsilon(\Omega_\h,\tau_\h,u_\h):=\h^{-3}\int_{\Omega_\h} V(\tau_\h,\sigma_\h)\,dx
$$
$$
\Omega_\h=\psih(\S\h)
$$
$$
u_\h=h\circ (\psih)^{-1},
$$
$$
\tau_\h=\nabla u_\h
$$
$$
\sigma_\h=\det(D\psih)^{-1}\partial_3\psih\circ(\psih)^{-1}
$$
Eulérien $\Leftrightarrow$ Lagrangien 2/4
On a
$$
\nabla\cdot \sigma_\h=0,
$$
$$
\tau_\h=\nabla u_\h \text{ et }u_\h=\pm\h\text{ sur }\partial^\pm\Omega_\h,
$$
et
$$
\int_{\S\h} \sigma_\h\cdot\tau_\h\,dx=|\S\h|.
$$
Eulérien $\Leftrightarrow$ Lagrangien 3/4
Soit
$$
\W{2}(F)=S(F_1\wedge F_2,F_3),
$$
on a
$$
\int_{\S\h} \W{2}(D \psih)\,dx
=\int_{\psih(\S\h)} V(\tau_\h,\sigma_\h) \,dx,
$$
avec
$$
V(\tau,\sigma)=S\left(\frac{\tau}{\tau\cdot \sigma},\frac \sigma{\tau\cdot\sigma}\right) |\tau\cdot \sigma|.
$$
Eulérien $\Leftrightarrow$ Lagrangien 4/4
$$
\min_{\psih} \int_{\S\h} \W{2}(D\psih)\,dx
$$
est équivalent à
$$
\min_{\Omega_\h,\sigma_\h,u_\h} \int_{\Omega_\h} V(\sigma_\h,\tau_\h) \,dx
$$
sous les contraintes
$$
\nabla\cdot\sigma_\h=0,
$$
$$
\tau_\h=\nabla u_\h \text{ et }u_\h=\pm\h\text{ sur }\partial\Omega_\h,
$$
$$
\int_{\S\h} \sigma_\h\cdot\tau_\h\,dx=|\S\h|.
$$
$$ \nabla \cdot \sigma=0, $$
$$ \tau = \nabla u, $$
$$ u=\pm \h \text{ sur }\partial^\pm\Omega, $$
où $\partial \Omega = \partial^+\Omega \cup \partial^-\Omega$,
$$ \int_\Omega \tau\cdot \sigma\,dx = 2\h A, $$
on associe l'énergie
$$ I_\h(\Omega,\sigma,\tau) =\h^{-3} \int_\Omega |\tau-\sigma|^2+(1-\tau\cdot\sigma)^2\,dx.$$
Algorithme
Minimisations Alternées
On remarque que minimiser
$$
I_\h(\Omega,\sigma,\tau)
=\h^{-3}
\int_\Omega |\tau-\sigma|^2+(1-\tau\cdot\sigma)^2\,dx
$$
on note
$\Omega_\varphi=\varphi(\Omega); $
$ \tau_\varphi=\nabla \varphi^{-T}\tau;$ $\sigma_\varphi=(\det\nabla \varphi)^{-1}\nabla \varphi \sigma.$
$(\sigma,\tau)$ admissible $\Rightarrow (\sigma_\varphi,\tau_\varphi)$ admissibles.
On a alors, pour $\varphi=(\Id+\theta)$,
$$
I_\h(\Omega_\varphi,\sigma_\varphi,\tau_\varphi)
=
I_\h(\Omega,\sigma,\tau)
+L_{\Omega,\sigma,\tau}(\theta)+ o(\theta).
$$
où
$$
L_{\Omega,\sigma,\tau}(\theta)=
\frac 1 {2\h^3}\int_{\Omega}
(-\nabla\cdot\theta)\left(|\sigma-\tau|^2+(\sigma\cdot\tau-1)^2\right)
$$
$$
+2(\sigma-\tau)\cdot (\nabla\theta\sigma+\nabla\theta^T\tau-(\nabla\cdot\theta)\tau)
$$
$-2(\sigma\cdot\tau-1)\nabla\cdot\theta \,dx$
