Thomas Wick

I am a Professor for Scientific Computing at the Institute of Applied Mathematics (IfAM) of the Leibniz University Hannover in Germany. My research interests are design, implementation and analysis of numerical methods and algorithms for computational fluid dynamics, solids, multiphysics and crack propagation problems in elasticity and poroelasticity. I am also interested in error estimation and adaptive methods such as local mesh adaptivity with a particular emphasis on goal-oriented techniques. Finally, I have been working on gradient-based optimization for coupled problems.
