PRE2: Mathematics for Datascience

Welcome to the Mathematics For Datascience webpage !

The course is a refresher course on mathematics for datascience to PREpare you to the datascience classes of the master. The first class will take place on Thursday 10th of September.

The course will be entirely taught online on Thursday afternoon from 2pm till 5:15pm using Zoom. I will open the Zoom sessions 5 minutes before the class.
Prior to the classes you will receive by whatsapp and email a link to connect to the Zoom session where the class will take place (this steps requires however an action from you, see below).

If you are registered for the class, your first assignements are:

• Send an email to the teacher with title "PRE2 Math for Datascience Register” that includes your contact info (firstname, lastname, mobile phone number, email). You will then be registered to the whatsapp group and mailing-list associated to the class.
• We will share google doc documents, so make sure that the email you transmit can be used to share google docs.
• Make sure you know how to use zoom (via the client to be installed or in a webbrowser).

What do I need to attend the class?

You need a computer where you can use Zoom and a good access to internet, some pens and some paper to take notes (yes by hand!) of the class and work on the exercices and examples, a mobile phone with whatsapp and camera where you can take pictures of your solutions of the exercices (and quickly share them).
