The aim is to gather researchers interested in the
modelisation, the numerical
simulation of multi-scale problems. Small research teams
should bring out complementary results on industrial projects. Daily seminars should
permit to create stimulating interacions between different teams. Furthermore,
short courses will introduce participants to new methods in modelisation and
scientific computing.
The workshop Couplex (July 26-27th) will be hosted by CEMRACS
To carry out its studies on radioactive waste storage,
Andra (French National Agency for Radioactive Waste Management) is running a
program on modeling and simulation. It is soliciting the help of the
numerical community and proposes is a set of three exercises
(Couplex)
that simulate the transport (displacement) of radioactive nuclides
from a possible deep geologic storage site (500 meters deep) to the
surface.
