Theoretical and Numerical Analysis of Hyperbolic Systems of Conservation Laws
This course is devoted to hyperbolic systems of conservation laws,
the most famous example of which is gaz dynamic (fully studied in
details during the course). Both theoretical and numerical aspects
are emphasized during each class of three hours. There are
therefore a double table of contents which are followed in
parallel.

Numerical projects
A facultative numerical project is proposed to the students following the course.
A pair of students chooses one topic in the list below. A topic can be chosen
only by a single pair. Registration with G. Allaire and F. Coquel is mandatory.
A defense of the project with a computer is organized in January after the
written exam. A bonus of 2 points at most, depending on the quality of the
work done during the project, will be added to the grade of
the written exam.
