Results of the selection process

For this fifth edition of Evolution Artificielle, the Programme Committee had the very nice surprise of receiving 66 submissions, from all five continents.

These submissions being also of quite high quality, the questions of running several sessions in parallel, allowing only 15 or 20 minutes per presentation, having a poster session, having demos during the breaks, ... were raised to allow more papers to be presented.
Finally, the organising committee decided to stick to the same recipe (no parallel sessions, 30 minutes for presentation+questions) because we wanted authors to have enough time to present their work decently to a large audience, even if this meant that good papers would be refused (accept rate of only 45%), as this formula only allows around 30 presentations over three days.

As a consequence, the programme committee had the pleasure to find that all reviewers of the 26 first papers had ticked either "Interesting, probably accept", or "Excellent paper, MUST be accepted", leaving only a small space for slightly more controversial papers.

We therefore thank all the authors who have submitted a paper, and more particularly those listed below, for the very high quality of their work, leading us to think that this fifth Evolution Artificielle conference will be of oustanding quality.

See you in Le Creusot in October !
